IMPORTANT DEADLINE FOR SENIORS

The required immunization deadline for all students in Grade 12 to receive their 2nd dose of meningococcal vaccine (MCV) at age 16 or older is prior to the first day of school.

*Students need to show proof of this immunization to the school Nurse on or before September 8, 2026.

First Day of School

For the second consecutive year, Bangor Area High School will dedicate the first day of school, Monday, August 31, exclusively to our freshman class. Ninth-grade students will participate in our START (Students Thrive As Resilient Teens) Freshman Orientation Program, an engaging experience designed to help students transition confidently into high school. Throughout the day, freshmen will become familiar with the building, meet staff and classmates, learn about school expectations, and develop the skills and connections needed for a successful start to their high school journey.

**For all other students in grades 10-12, the first day of school will be on Tuesday, September 1st. We look forward to welcoming back our upperclassmen and continuing our commitment to academic excellence and personal growth.
